It's A Great Day For Golfing!

We made this card at STAMP CLUB last week.  Love this!!!  I think I will stock up and make quite a few of these.  The colors are PACIFIC POINT, GARDEN GREEN and WILD WASABI.

I used lots of punches:  1 1/4" CIRCLE for the golf ball, OVAL for the hole, PENNANT for the trees and the flag.  See the bumps on the golf ball?  I ran it through the BIG SHOT with the POLKA DOTS EMBOSSING FOLDER.  I also sponged the edges of the ball with CRUMB CAKE INK.

The sky background is lightly sponged to give it some color.  The sentiment is from ON YOUR BIRTHDAY which is a RETIRING set.

Lovely card from Ruth!

Thank you Ruth for sending me this card in the mail.  Have I told you how I love going to the mailbox everyday...just in hopes that I may have some fun mail in there?  Well, I do love it when I get a handstamped card in that mailbox.  It is an extra good day when that happens!

She used WHITE EMBOSSING POWDER on top of the PINK PIROUETTE FLOWER PUNCH.  Then that curved edged is from the new EDGELITS and the BIG SHOT.  We are all loving the PLEATED RIBBON that came out a year ago and take note of the BLING in the center of the flower.

It's All In The Stars

This is a card that is clean and crisp!  I am using it for graduation cards...but could adapt to so many others.  We made this project at STAMP CLUB this week.  If you want to join in the fun for the next round of stamp club, be sure to let me know!!

The stripes are made with the STRIPES EMBOSSING FOLDER.  I didn't place the cardstock all the way inside the folder...so then you can have it be part-way on the project.  The STARS are from the STARS #2 die that is retiring at the end of the month!!!  You get 5 stars on the die.

The SILVER GLIMMER PAPER is so cool.  It is available in red and silver.  You get 2 12 x 12 sheets for $4.95.  I used SILVER EMBOSSING POWDER on the sentiment "congratulations."

Embossing Folders ROCK!

What did we do before we had EMBOSSING FOLDERS to help add such great dimension to our projects???

The POLKA DOTS EMBOSSING FOLDER is used on the first project.  Take note of all the different punches used here:  SCALLOP EDGE, SMALL OVAL, SCALLOP OVAL.  Also take note of the two tones of pink used for the project.  You can do that with any color.

This card uses the SQUARE LATTICE EMBOSSING FOLDER.  After it went through the BIG SHOT, use a SPONGE with some ink on it and brush it over the project.  The ink goes on all of the RAISED parts of the card.  Great technique!  The PAPER PIECING TOOL is used to make all those holes on the top layer.

Stamping Samples

Square cards are fun to do.  This one has the base made from the SQUARE SCALLOP DIE...use the BIG SHOT to cut that baby out!  The top layer then opens up for the actual "card."  Use some DESIGNER PAPER and RIBBON to finish it off.  

BELOW:  Love these BRIGHT colors.  The SQUARE punch is used to get all the pieces to fit together nicely.  The palm trees are stamped with the VERSAMARK INK PAD.  That is always a "go to" ink pad to give the tone-on-tone look.

Autumn Days says goodbye

You will find this stamp set on page 123 in the big book.  I have always loved it because it reminds me of my home state of SOUTH DAKOTA.  Plus it is a great masculine set.

Fun Cards To Share

The above card is a great layout to copy.  Use one basic stamp to create a background and then use it on the top layered piece at the focal point.  The beverage was colored in with our awesome markers and then the dazzling diamonds were added.  Use 2-WAY GLUE PEN first and then sprinkle the DAZZLING DIAMONDS on it.  Add a clip, a brad, a button, some piece of metal, doo-dads....on that top piece to add interest to it.  This card could be made with so many color choices.  

The card below is just plain fun!  And with this weather we have been having it will be time to bring out the frozen treats!  Can you guess what PUNCHES were used to create this?  WORD WINDOW are the popsicle sticks...TAG PUNCH for the popsicles...and to take a "bite" out of the popsicle, use a SCALLOP CIRCLE.  It always amazes me how clever people can be with making "punch art" projects.  It really is a simple concept....but I NEVER would have thought of it!  

The saying on this card is embossed with WHITE EMBOSSING POWDER.  The bright colors sure make me think of summer!

Quick & Easy Stamping

I took some retired DESIGNER PAPER and made a bunch of cards in a short time.  This is what I got.  Add some buttons, ribbon, any embellishments that you can find in your stash!

Button Buddies and Crosses of Hope

I thought it was time to share some samples that are not retiring!  The one above is made with BUTTON BUDDIES.  This set is fun to use buttons with...there are 8 stamps in the set.

The sample below is CROSSES OF HOPE.  It really looks pretty to have the flowers behind the cross.  Thanks to Julie for making these.
